Jordan Burgess Minimize

Jordan has been performing in the lower mainland for the last 20 years with various original bands and cover bands. Currently the frontman for his band “The J. Burgess Band” which has continually rocked the local club circuit with its high energy party music for the past 12 years.

The flipside to the band format is a stripped-down, bare bones solo acoustic act. With his proficient guitar work, versatile vocal ability, humor and attitude, Jordan is able to successfully entertain and engage his audience. Drawing from a vast repertoire of music, whether putting a new twist on the hits and classics of the past, or reworking the current popular radio hits of the day. Jordan has come up with an entertaining package that will keep the crowds tapping on the tables and singing along.

A Port Moody Tradition!

Most nights, we're filled with residents from nearby Newport Village.

A popular hangout for many in the area, our pub attracts customers from all backgrounds and the atmosphere is relaxing, whether you've come in for a quick pint, a relaxed dinner or to visit with a group of good friends.

Featured Artists Minimize

Below are just a few of the great artist who will be playing at The Well over the next year.

Bruce Coughlan Minimize

Bruce Coughlan is a multifaceted talent and will undoubtedly be recognized as a great Canadian songwriter.

His musical journey has included forays into a variety of musical styles including; Country, Folk, Bluegrass, Celtic, Rhythm & Blues, Roots Music and Adult Alternative. As instrumentalist (guitar, bodhran, tenor banjo, flute and whistles), Bruce is a solid, articulate player. As vocalist, he's a soulful interpreter who's performed thousands of songs at thousands of gigs in styles too varied to mention.

Michele Raye Minimize

Michele Raye is a singer/guitar player with an extensive history in the Canadian music scene.  She’s played in all kinds of bands from solo to 6-piece and brings a fun, uptempo show to any room she plays.

These days, Michele rounds out her sound using loops, which means she can record and improvise live.  With her drummer/singer Ross Friesen on electronic kit some nights, they are able to create a sound much larger than what you’d expect from two people.

Pop, rock, classic R&B with tunes from both now and yesterday is what you’ll hear, and you’ll want to sing along or dance, all night long.

Check our www.micheleraye.com to hear songs from her latest CD, Step Inside.

Sharky Modak Minimize

Sharky's name is synonymous with the Vancouver music scene. He has been in the music business for twenty years playing with various bands and working as a promoter. He started playing piano at age 7 and later experimented with the trumpet. The trumpet experiment went really bad; Unfortunately the lawsuit settlement states that I can't tell you exactly what occurred on that hot august afternoon with me and my trumpet, let's just say they tell me it wasn't a pretty sight. Sharky was quoted as saying: my instrument of choice is now the guitar which he also picked up in grade 12. Over the years this multi-talented performer has performed with dozens of top Vancouver musicians and continues to delight audiences wherever he goes, from his improvised humor to his vocal ability and stage presence. As a solo artist he acquired the art of playing the same song in a dozen different styles while transcribing another tune and eating chicken wings all simultaneously. Today Sharky has an amazing collection of really tacky shirts and if he looks familiar it's because on nights when he's not playing live [which is rare], you may find him talking to everyone [including himself] or up on stage jamming at any bar in the Lower Mainland.

The Groove Minimize

 The_Goove.jpg
The Groove is a great little rock duo covering songs from Sheryl Crow, Janis Joplin, AC/DC, Annie Lennox, Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac, K.T. Tunstall, Joss Stone, Heart, Neil Diamond plus many, many more! They usually perform in and around the lower mainland of Vancouver, BC in Canada. Mario and Tracy have been performing together for about three years . They have been performing for over 20 yrs !!!!! They  pride themselves on trying to sound as close to the artist we are portraying as possible.
